У меня была Astra. Когда я купил трёхдверку GTC предыдущего поколения (с заводским индексом H) пошлого красного цвета, она была в такую диковинку, что на заправках и в пробках меня спрашивали, что это за марка. Слишком яркой для Опеля была та Astra. Причём опелевцы, представляя её, утверждали, что полузависимая задняя подвеска не столько проигрывает многорычажке Гольфа, её главного конкурента, по управляемости и комфорту, сколько выигрывает по цене. Жизнь доказала, что это не так: Astra не отличалась блестящими ездовыми повадками. Теперь, спустя пять лет, у бюджетной задней балки появились дополнительные «рычаги любви» — тяги механизма Уатта. Чтобы «имитировать работу многорычажки».
