The woofer has to be wired to amplifier through the channels. The ends of the wires are stripped and made ready for the connections. The positive of the woofer is connected to the amplifiers right positive.Similarly the negative of the subwoofer is connected to the amplifiers right negative. The left channel is connected to the other woofer by similar methods.

The positive wires are then connected to the positive terminal and in the same way the negative terminals connected with the negative wires. That is in general corresponding connections between sub woofer input and the amplifiers are made. These steps are repeated with the amplifier’s left channels and the second sub woofer.

The second method for wiring a sub woofer is to wire a dual subwoofer to a single channel amplifier. Now remove about 0.5 inch of insulation from the ends of the wire. Now take the wire from the positive terminal of the amplifier is connected to the positive terminal of the first sub woofer. Now take the second wire from this terminal and connect it to second sub. Repeat this step with the negative terminals. This method of wiring is termed as “daisy-chaining”.

Now check the connection by playing a music track. If the bass quality is not good then you might have connected a negative to a positive terminal. This type of connection will result in reducing the sound output.
