Good Additives Do Exist

June 1st, 2010 No comments

Because of the discussions about the high cost of gas, people today seem to be beginning to think about what they could personally do to lessen the effect that it’s having on their personal budgets. If you do a couple of searches on the web you will get lots of tips to help you increase your gas mileage, but is there anything else you can do? Of course there is!

Is There Such a Thing as a Good Fuel Additive?

For a couple of years there have been items on the market which can enable you to get more from the gas you are currently utilizing. You may have heard of these products as gas additives, diesel additives, or the general term fuel additives. There are also items like detergents and others which have been seen on the market as well.

Yet with all of these products, how could you know if they actually are worth anything? All of us hear about the crazy promises that some of such products make like “Increase Your Gas Mileage 90%” etc. Many of us have frequently heard the phrase “If it sounds too good to be true, it is” and have given a general label to these kinds of products .

Truth be told that you can find gas additives (both gas or diesel) out there that deliver. The trouble is that the label has been applied so heavily that many people are just not willing to give them a try. In fact, I remember reading an article a while back that said why fuel additives don’t do the job. Do you think they backed the statement up with facts? Not a chance. The best thing they could say was something like, “Don’t you think the gas companies would already be doing everything they can in order to make a superior product?” Definitely not a good reason .

What to Look For

Before you decide to just get a gasoline additive in the marketplace, be sure that there is also information and documentation to support it. Do they have test details from a good institution so that it’s impartial? Have they been proven numerous times in diverse different situations? If they have and the data appears good, you have probably discovered a product that can truly do what they claim – save you some money on gas.

In summary, there really are a few decent items available that are worth your consideration with high prices looming. Since prices tend to rise, now is the time to begin looking at ways of saving money on gas.

Getting the right gasoline additive is often hard, unless of course you know exactly what to take into account. FuelAdditiveStore.com is one place that has additives which are proven to perform and can help you to save money on gas prices. Visit them now and start saving.

Slam Locks – A Prevention In Logistics Crime

June 1st, 2010 No comments

Slam locks are responsible for locking vehicles in the advent of forgetful and just plain careless drivers. They work by automatically closing the door once closed.

Europe has seen a lot of cargo crime. In fact, such crime has been responsible for European businesses losing eight million Euros each year. Responsible for much of this crime are organised criminal groups. They possess great knowledge of the routes and the roads which gives them a distinct advantage.

Logistics vehicles are a prime target for criminals. There is far more accessibility than other vehicles such as trains or ships making them a more attractive target. Another factor that makes them such a target is that the driver takes frequent breaks, often leaving the vehicle unattended whether for a break or to take an overnight stay. The most appealing factor to the criminal, however, is that they can carry such a massive amount of goods, equalling more profit potential.

Drivers make mistakes; they are only human after all. Slam locks work to prevent any occurrences due to this, locking the door once shut. Criminals especially target drivers who have forgotten to shut their door so this prevents them from being such an obvious target.

A slam lock or at least, some kind of advanced vehicle locking system is the minimum requirement for a long journey. Including immobilisers and advanced alarm systems are just two of many that exist on the market today. There is some resentment by drivers that they have to resort to such security measures to fend off potential dangers from criminals but when they are responsible for ensuring that the goods are transported from one place to another, they have to take such precautions, to protect both the goods and themself.

Find out more about slam locks and other vehicle security measures.

Is It Possible To Save Money On Fuel With An HHO Gas Generator?

June 1st, 2010 No comments

Recently, i have become concerned of an HHO Gas Source due to the rising prize of gasoline. For those not regular with the term, an HHO Gas source is a device which allegedly converts the hydrogen from water into fuel that can be burned-out by a vehicle–thus saving tremendously on gasoline costs.

So I looked for hours on-line to find out if an HHO Gas Generator would work. As you can credibly guess, at this point, I have not yet tested building my own HHO Gas Generator. Here’s how my on-line search went.

I went to my first site on the subject, which called it “How to construct an HHO Gas Generator.” The main thrust of the site can be summed up in one sentence: “Find a guide online using Google.” I’m not kidding; this guy did a whole article that essentially recommended you look on-line for a guide. Nothing helps there.

My bay for a working HHO Gas Generator continued. Later i found several site much better. Simply people insisting that they work and please send “X” amount of their funds to find out how to do it.

I did eventually find many videos on You Tube that showed how to build an HHO Gas Generator, and almost made the technology appear more plausible. The projects even look like something I can plausibly do myself with little hassle or money.

As I continued my search to determine if there is additional truth or hype to the subject of the HHO gas generator, I found several sites of nothing but testimonials. First, apparently Mike Allen at the popular Mechanics website says his experiments show no noticeable deviation in a car with an HHO Gas Generator and one without one. However, he acknowledged that he has a friend who is as technically-adept as himself who said he is “actually getting some consistent results-fuel-economy improvements to the tune of 10 to 12 percent on diesel trucks pulling trailers.”

Strangely, Allen dismissed this as merely a placebo effect–in effect accusing him of imagining the results. I’m not so sure–especially given the huge number of seemingly-honest people online, with no product to sell, who insist they’ve seen positive results. For this reason i am on goal on. I have little to lose–but a much more fuel-efficient car (not to mention environmentally friendly car) to gain if my HHO Gas Generator does indeed work.
