People Thoughts About The Lexus LS 600h

April 15th, 2010 No comments

Lexus LS 600h was introduced in 2007 by Toyota. It was the first V8 powered full hybrid in the world. The Lexus LS 600h came equipped with Lexus Hybrid Drive and combined a high output electric motor with nickel-metal hydride battery packs. Its counterpart form, Lexus LS 600h L, came with a longer wheel base. People have varying opinion about the Lexus LS 600h. While some love the new beauty, others downright hate it. Here, we will try to provide a comprehensive insight on what people have to say about the Lexus LS 600h.

Majority of Полтава people are not too happy with the Lexus LS 600h. Some feel downright disgusted. Some of the reasons for people disliking the Lexus LS 600h are:

This particular Lexus is too expensive and not worthwhile. The price starts at $104,000 for Lexus LS 600h, much more than what a common man could afford, no matter how environment conscious he may be. At this price, you could buy four Priuses. No doubt that it is ultra-luxury, but is way too expensive.

Lexus LS 600h has a smooth hybrid performance as compared to all other hybrid cars. It is evident that the hybrid technology is a new innovation in the automobile industry and innovations are still being made. This luxurious car has an even road performance which adds point to its customer reviews.

All-wheel drive is another noticeable factor. This car is powerful because its engine provides power to all its four wheels which just not only increases its power but increases its safety levels as well as fuel economy.

On the other hand, some buyers are not happy with its performance as they believe that it has low fuel economy for a typical hybrid car. It should have been made more fuel economical as it is one of the factors which buyers look for in luxury cars these days.

Many reviewers have raised their point of the high cost of Lexus LS 600h. Its price is comparatively higher as compared to other cars of the same category which disappoints many of the genuine buyers and forces them to turn towards other brands and companies.

Lexus fans claim that this is the highest in technology and luxury, giving it the title of the strongest hybrid limousine. The LS600hL is truly an executive cruiser. It isolates you from the outside world, so that you can just indulge in that awesome sense of comfort. The seating at the back is truly executive class.

Comparison Between IS 250c And The Standard Lexus IS

January 17th, 2010 No comments

The Lexus IS 250c was revealed at the Paris Motor Show back in the year 2008 without much astonishment. Seldom do the words Lexus and Convertible go together, but this time, the Japanese sumptuousness car maker has jammed the Germans with their tops downwards. The IS 250c is expected to do fine for the company in two different ways; first of all, by attracting customers who have certainly not chewed over the hallucination of investing in a Lexus, and secondly, by giving its European rivals something tough to grind on.

With its top is down, at first glimpse, you would probably mistake it for the standard Lexus IS sedan. However, when the top slides back into the boot within its record-breaking speed of 20 seconds, you would most likely assume that it is an uncomplicated conversion of the sedan into a two-door coupe with a three metal piece-folding roof. Nevertheless, make no mistake the Lexus IS 250c is a brand new car, which although has been loosely based on the standard IS version, has only few bits & pieces in common.

The engine and gearbox are same. Both models have the 60-degree V6, which produces 153kW at 6400rpm, and 252Nm at 4800rpm, which utilises 9.3 litres of fuel for each 100km, and produces 219 grams/kilometre of CO2. The gearbox is available in six speed variants of both the automatic & manual. Apart from this, the only body parts in common are the bonnet, headlights, door mirrors, and dashboard.

The engineering of this car is done by the same person who has developed the chassis of the supreme car, Toyota Supra. This is the reason that while driving this car, you would feel sitting in Sedan. It all has been done with additional reinforcements under the skin of the car. The car is available in three models: Prestige, Luxury Sports and Sports, and all these models are different in their body weights. However, all cars have seven under-body braces, bigger rear brakes, three different grades of high strength steel and four internal floor reinforcements.

However, the engine is not overworked and does not require more juice. The IS250 consumes 9.1L/100Km, while the IS250C does 9.3L/100Km. Only Premium Unleaded 95OCT, or higher is recommended.

On the other hand, the engine is not hackneyed and does not have the need of more liquid. The IS250 consumes 9.1L/100Km, whereas the IS250C does 9.3L/100Km.; simply Premium Unleaded 95OCT or superior fuel is suggested.

Safety is a no compromise issue with both the cars. Many airbags and loads of safety features have earned both of them five star maximum road safety ratings. Nonetheless, the IS250c is loaded with more airbags, and added body strength.

Overall, the IS-C is an impressive addition to the already prestigious IS range, which includes the IS Standard and IS-F. With add on like this, Lexus is surely to make other car makers hit back for the workshop, and its no shocker that the car already has a two-month waiting list ahead of its arrival in 2010.

Lexus IS 250c Review And Updates

January 12th, 2010 No comments

I have the honour to drive Lexus IS 250 Sedan model, though I am a big fan, and lover of its comfort features, and secure handling, which are present in all Lexus models, when I came across to a Lexus IS 250 Hard top convertible, I was breathless to see such a revelation in motor industry. This luxury car is engineered by Japanese automotive industry. The car was first brought in the auction in 2008 at Paris Mondial de l’Automobile. Lexus IS 250c is not an overnight development; it has taken four years of research on the previous body style to make over an elegant beauty.

People will look this entry-level convertible car from Lexus, on roads in 2010. The approximate cost of this fastest metal folding roof is 34,550 plus. The car is a transformation of IS Sedan with added functionality of retractable roof, two door coupe, and four doors. The car has latest 204bhp (208 DIN hp) 2.5 litre V6 engine with full automatic, and manual transmission, available in six speed gears.

The exterior design has been carefully designed based on L-finesse IS Saloon with some advanced features like concave surfacing, contrasting convex, and sweeping lines. Other than these features, some other common features are door mirrors, door handles, headlamps, and bonnet. All other elements have been reconstructed with latest tools. The aerodynamic features have made this the most convenient car to drive with the roof in down position. The backlights have novel mix of light clusters with distinctive linear LED lighting, and a high-mounted LED stop illumination built into the higher lip of the boot cover.

The inner design is also based on the grand, splendid, and inventive internal designs of the Saloon. The car offers a good wide seating space for four persons including driver. Moreover, it has open-handed space for baggage. No other car in the market has enough space to place golf bag, even when the roof is down. The car contains 12 speaker, 365W Surround System with automated equaliser tuning that provides excellent sound quality in any condition; with roof up, or down. Another phenomenal feature is the built-in LCD touch screen audio player. This player is connected to various ports together with dedicated melody records of 10GB. It is a part of high-tech Navigation System, which has a devoted memory of 40GB, and holds back drawing for entire Europe with voice detection functionality.

The three-piece collapsing roof arrangement is made entirely of thin aluminium, and has the quickest opening, and closing period for any three-part roof at 20 seconds. It is particularly soft, and effortlessly placed, in use by the push of a single button.

The ride is very smooth with the added feature of standard 17-inch wheels. In addition, multi link suspensions, a strong chassis, and Electronic Power Steering provides for better handling, and controlling.

Safety concerns have been taken care by an utmost five star rating in both Euro, and US NCAP crash testing. With all safety standards included as the IS Sedan models, it also has the first of its kind twin-chamber passenger front airbag.

Overall, the 2010 Lexus IS 250c has to be a sophisticated touring convertible for a judicious price. Its interior perfection, soothing ride, and better fuel saving, are surely bonuses. Moreover, with UK being the largest market for convertibles, there will be large number of Lexus IS 250c on the road soon.

The Eco-Friendly Nature Of Hybrid Cars

January 9th, 2010 No comments

Global warming is a phenomenon that most of us understand and are concerned about it. Even though I am personally not a green-energy freak, I do opt for a cleaner and greener environment to live in. A major contribution to greenhouse gases and carbon emissions is the way we transport on a daily basis. Cars are undoubtedly key culprits in this perspective. However, hybrid cars have come to the rescue, as these eco-friendly vehicles are proving to be a great obstacle in the growth of global warming.

Gasoline and electricity are the two sources of energy that are used by hybrid cars for driving. Both of these sources are produced by the batteries on which the hybrid cars operate, their central concept not being alien to the general public. One can think of the ancient Trojan warships that happened to enjoy double utility of the manpower of oarsmen as well as the wind power of sea breeze by using sails. It was in the year 1899 that the hybrid car footprints were traced. That happened when Ferdinand Porsche became the first man to develop the first working hybrid vehicle. This got many people interested, and some of them even experimented on their own. In the early years, hybrid cars used to power submarines. This idea was transferred to other vehicles, and in the current scenario, one can easily see hybrid cars, trains, buses, trams, bikes, etc.

The question is how does a hybrid car works? A hybrid car works by getting power through two energy sources. To drive in the suburb, electric motor is used, while to drive on highways, internal combustion engine is used. There is a heavy battery in hybrid car that automatically charges itself, and gives power to electric motor. A hybrid car engine is smaller than a normal car engine, yet it is very efficient. A hybrid car is designed aerodynamically. It is build up of lightweight material with close to ground resistance tyres, and both these features make this car more successful. Why we need a hybrid car? Let us look on some of the solid reasons.

As I explained above, these cars are very efficient. They are operated electrically and therefore, work well and continually at all motor speeds. As compared to orthodox gasoline-powered engines, they produce a better amount of power in low revolutions per minute episodes. Transmissions are not used in hybrid cars to make their engines move at full ability, even on slower speeds.

Hybrid cars are energy efficient cars, and use very less fuel to propel. There are two engines, one work on fuel power, and the other on electric power. Both can work either on their own or together, depending upon the availability at the time of use. This is the best part of hybrid cars, where both engines support each other, if one fails, the other takes charge.

Hybrid cars are very convenient to run. As they partially run on battery power, they are cost-effective for their users, as opposed to the standard cars, in which case, the consumer is bearing the pain of continuous raising oil prices. Also, most cars are stylish and offer many unique features, e.g. the new Toyota hybrid has radar collision control, and automatic reverse parking sensors.

Perhaps the most important feature of hybrid cars is its environment friendly feature, which is very good in the current scenario of global warming. You can call these cars, future cars, or next generation cars, because of their convenience, and pollution-free features.

In a nutshell, if we need a car, we should opt to a hybrid car, as it is a cheaper option in any case, and also it does not harm our environment.

Buying A Hybrid Car According To A Budget

January 4th, 2010 No comments

Ever since the first car was invented, the automotive industry has only looked ahead. Newer features are brought in with the addition of every latest vehicle that delight customers. The hybrid car is an ideal example.

The hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV), commonly known as the hybrid car is the latest innovation from the automotive industry, one that has attracted quite a lot of attention. This motor vehicle is specifically designed to be compatible with other forms of energy, apart from gasoline. It is also known for its low emissions, making it a good choice for concerned people, worried about climate change around the globe.

The fact that hybrid cars are fuel-efficient is the best thing about them. Many people are learning more about the significance of indulging in a lifestyle that is eco-friendly, nowadays. In reference to resource-depletion, it is clear that if action is not taken in order to negate the power, and energy crises, damage in the future will definitely occur.

Hence, hybrid cars are apparently the ideal current solution. Using a combination of the power of a gas engine with an electric motor, power, and fuel economy has been improved upon in this vehicle. Considering the oil crisis, a hybrid car is a better option. It can function efficiently on gasoline; thus, decreasing running costs. Moreover, it can be run on electric power as well.

Hybrid cars are good for you environmentally as well as economically, because the battery of a hybrid car tends to last longer when compared with a usual car battery. You can travel a distance of approximately 150,000 to 200,000 miles on a hybrid car engine.

What people do not usually know is that hybrid cars function on a dual engine system. This allows the vehicle to have a certain edge over conventional cars. Now, instead of one force, they have two forces at work that help accelerate the car to the required speed.

You can benefit from the purchase of a hybrid car on two levels. One, it will have lower running costs. You would only need to worry about getting a lump sum amount for purchasing the car. Once it is in your possession and is running smoothly, you would be at rest from all the hassle of oil refilling. The other factor is, of course, the environmental friendly makeup of the car.

With the advent of technology, hybrid cars are starting to be better recognized and acknowledged. With renewed interest in this technological advancement, more people are starting to look into the hybrid car as a possible choice for a vehicle. This renewed interest has also led to a fall in prices of the hybrid car.

Due to new advancements, and increasing interest, reduced prices of these cars are inevitable; hence, making them more accessible to a larger number of people. In case you want to buy your car now, you should consult your local banks, or observe which banks provide the option of purchasing a hybrid car, without large interest rates, and down payment.
