Diamond Free, Titan, GT750, X-6 Hustler, RG500, XN85, and GSX-R. Familiar with them? Probably yes since they belong to one of the top names in the motorcycle industry – Suzuki. These Suzuki motorcycles are not just robust and stylish but they are also packed with excellent features.

But are you aware that before Suzuki became popular in the motorcycle industry, it first became a part of the silk industry? Puzzling as it may seem, but yes in 1909, Suzuki was just a small warehouse that aimed to bring looms to Japanese silk industry. Only after 30 years when it started to diversify into cars and motorcycles. Then when the cotton market collapsed in 1951, the company decided to seriously get into the car and motorcycle industry.

The Power Free was the first motorcycle introduced by Suzuki. Because of its ingenious design, the Japan government gave the company a subsidy so it can continue with its research about motorcycle and car innovation. That became the start for a more promising business for Suzuki, allowing them to create innovative motorcycles which later on became World Motocross Champions.

The X-6 Hustler was among the innovative motorcycles produced by Suzuki. It was actually the first bike they created for the street-legal performance category. Known for its great speed, this became the fastest 250cc bike in the 1960′s. And because of this fast motorcycle, Suzuki gained recognition in the arena of motocross.

When the late 80′s came, all the more Suzuki became known in the racing community. Its model, the GSX-R750, became the most popular Suzuki motorcycle in this era. Made from aluminum frame, the GSX-R750 was considered the lightest bike from Suzuki.

Over the years, Suzuki motorcycles formed a big part in the motorcycle industry. And yes, up to the present, the name Suzuki still belongs to the top four motorcycle manufacturers in the world.
