Buying Auto Parts and Accessories On eBay.com

March 6th, 2010 No comments

One of the greatest innovations in the history of the world is a website called eBay. You’ve probably heard of it, so I don’t really need to introduce too much of what it is. Basically, eBay is a place where you can go and find things to buy. Or you can sell your old stuff that you don’t need anymore.

The reason that even is such a big success in such a phenomenon is that it is a fantastic place to get great deals on things that you would never be able to find locally or that would be much more expensive to buy elsewhere. It’s sort of like taking the classified ads section of your local newspaper but syndicating across the entire nation. That is extremely powerful.

One of the really cool things you can find on eBay is car parts. in the past, if you wanted to find some car parts you go to a place like your local AutoZone or NAPA auto parts store and see if they have it there and if they didn’t they could just order it for you. The only thing was, you never really knew if you’re getting the good deal.

With eBay, you can search for the deal yourself and make sure that you’re always getting the absolute top of the line best deal you can find. Also, on eBay, people are selling anything, so you can find things that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

What kind of car parts can you find? Well, if you are looking for car hoods, custom bumpers, a hard-to-find import car part, or just about anything else it’s on eBay. Just about every product known to mankind has or will be listed on eBay at some point. If someone sells that they probably sell it on eBay.

Now compare that kind of flexibility to what you have with something like your local auto parts store. You go there and they tell you what you need or you tell them what you need and hopefully they have it and if they don’t they’ll distort it for you. However, what happens when they can order it for you? At that point, you’re out of luck.

On eBay, your odds of finding what you’re looking for are so much better that it’s not even funny. If you can’t find it on eBay. You definitely won’t be able to find it at your local auto parts store. Also, the prices on eBay are almost guaranteed to be cheaper because it is a much more efficient market system.

All in all, buying auto parts on eBay is just a more efficient way to do it, assuming that the unavailable locally. Also, your options are going to be so much better online that you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. Not just what’s available.

Clive Cussler’s The Wrecker

March 6th, 2010 No comments

The Wrecker is the second novel in a new Western series by “one of the greatest adventure novelists of our time” (imdb). It promises to become perhaps the most popular Clive Cussler series yet. Because, let’s face it, stories about the Wild West never lose their appeal to American (as well as International) audiences.

The main character of the of this new Clive Cussler series is a detective by the name of Isaac Bell, a fearless figure of physical prowess equaling James Bond who simultaneously possesses observational skills and powers of deduction rivaling Sherlock Holmes.

As an independently wealthy heir to a Boston banking family, Isaac Bell pursues his detective investigations with a fury born out of an obsession and passion for justice rather than the need to make a living.

In The Wrecker, the Southern Pacific Railroad hires the Van Dorn detective agency and Isaac Bell to capture a saboteur that has been targeting their construction sites with devastating effects. Southern Pacific’s financing for a project to build a new line between the northern and southern portions of the American West coast is threatened. If any more sabotage ensues, it could potentially sink the entire mega-corporation.

The villain known as The Wrecker may be every bit as brilliant as Isaac Bell himself, reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes’ arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty. Up until the end of the novel, The Wrecker hides in plain sight within the circles of Southern Pacific Railroad president Osgood Hennessy.

The goal of the Wrecker is to gain control of the entire United States railroad system, at a time in history when railroad barons such as Harriman and Vanderbilt were the wealthiest men in America, beginning with the Southern Pacific Railroad.

As a story taking place in the early 1900′s, this book also offers a perfect opportunity for avid car enthusiast Clive Cussler to present some classic automobiles from the era when the experimental variety of styles was the greatest because few standards had yet been established.

The Wrecker features the 1907 Model 35 Thomas Flyer, winner of the 1908 New York to Paris race, as well as a Packard Grey Wolf, a Bugatti Type 41 Royale, and Isaac Bell’s own Locomobile.

Although Clive Cussler may be best known for his love of diving and sea exploration, both through his fictional stories and non-fictional enterprises, he obviously also cherishes the rugged landscapes of the American West. Why else would he have chosen to live in the mountains of Colorado, as far from the sea as you can get in the United States?

Through The Wrecker, we get a glimpse of this other side of Cussler, the one that loves the arid mountainous landscapes of the American West. And it’s an enthusiasm that shines through with unmitigated contagiousness. The new Isaac Bell series may well help give birth to a whole new generation of Western enthusiasts, as well as spark great excitement in many old ones. With all due respect to the previous Clive Cussler series, his Isaac Bell stories may top them all.

Mrs. Hellman resides in Western North Carolina with her spouse and three children, where she works as a professional copywriter. She writes book review as a hobby. Visit her site to order The Wrecker by Clive Cussler, or the most recent Dirk Pitt novel, Arctic Drift, Clive Cussler.

No matter where you live, you must obtain auto insurance on any vehicle that you own that is driven on the highway. No vehicle is permitted to drive down the highway without insurance coverage. If you get caught, plan on receiving a ticket, a fine, and even a court date.

Used Car Dealers – Good, Bad And Very Ugly

March 5th, 2010 No comments

Not everyone can afford a brand new car. And for many who can, they simply choose to buy a used vehicle once it has gone through its initial steep depreciation of the first year. When it comes to making that used car purchased, it’s frequently done from used car dealers.

These car dealers have garnered a pretty bad reputation over the years. Even movies tend to depict them as a bunch of losers selling vehicles that should for the most part have been sent to the junk piles. Consumers have lodged many complaints over the years alleging everything from failure to live up to guarantees all the way up to fraud.

But are they really that bad? Depends. Sure, there are plenty of dealerships out there for both new and used vehicles that operate on the fringe of the law. They make promises that they won’t put in writing. They outright lie to the buyers, and they rarely point out important details in the fine print. Is this all their fault, however? What about being an educated consumer and understanding the deal you are entering into?

One of the most common problems consumer have is the type of financing available. Even though there are many credit worthy middle class families who make a conscious decision to buy a good used car, finance companies typically charge higher interest rates no matter what your credit rating. Even someone with an excellent FICO score can expect to pay 2% more on a used car loan than on a new one. Many dealerships thrive on these loans because they get commissions, or kickbacks, for each buyer who finances through them.

Some dealers do nothing but buy and sell used trucks; it doesn’t matter what make or model. You might be able to find a decent car, but you can’t expect the sales person to know much about each vehicle. They aren’t experts in all models ever made. Perhaps they aren’t expert in any model at all. All they know is how to sell you a car from their lot.

When you are buying a car, any car, it’s a normal assumption that you’ll be able to ask questions that pertain to that specific model. To compound the issue, many used cars aren’t even sold with their original owner manuals. You might find a car you absolutely love, but don’t buy it on looks or price alone.

Before making any commitments at any dealership, and that includes even making a “refundable” deposit to hold the car, do some research. Go home and check out that particular make and model. Look for recalls, consumer reviews, and pricing information. Run a CarFax report if the dealership won’t do this for free. You’ll need the VIN for that vehicle, and by law they have to give it to you.

Take it for a long test drive. Some dealers like to steer you around their parking lot or maybe around the block. Make sure you get it on a highway, test the brakes, test the pickup, and then call your insurance company for a quote.

Whether you are purchasing new or used cars, our reliable automotive dealership offers friendly customer service and up-to-date resources. Our team of experienced dealers Edmonton has all the information you need for purchasing cars, vans, used trucks Edmonton, and other vehicles.

People May Spend A Lot On Traffic Tickets

March 5th, 2010 No comments

Traffic tickets can end up costing people a lot of money. Unpaid tickets will continue to cost a person money. The fine it’s self is bad enough, but when interest and penalties are added, a person may be looking at shelling out a small fortune. Anyone, would expect that once the ticket has been paid, the matter is closed but this is not the case.

Insurance rates can be greatly increased as a result of repeated tickets. Too many may actually cause insurance companies to cancel a policy. This is not to mention legal fees which will be incurred. People may in fact be arrested and jailed, and find themselves in need of a lawyer. This of course will mean even more money will be wasted.

People who want to avoid receiving speeding tickets, should start by doing their best to obey speed limits. This of course will also ensure the safety of anyone who’s on the road. When some people are in a hurry, they tend to speed. This does not always get people to their destination more quickly. This is a major cause of serious accidents, which may end someone’s life.

Directional signals are an important part of an automobile. Still, many people refuse to use them. Often these are the same people that are surprised when they are hit from behind by a driver who did not know they were turning. People should remember to use their signals, any time they turn. This will keep people safer and save them money from traffic tickets.

The reality is that we all make mistakes occasionally. Some people may not realize that they are driving too fast, or forget the directional signal while avoiding missing a turn. Others may decide to continue through a yellow light, only to have it turn red at the last moment. Every town has a spot, which is a notorious area for police to watch traffic. It is as though they sit just waiting to find someone doing something wrong so that they will have the opportunity to fine them. Frequently a police officer will claim that he is just looking out for a person’s safety. Although this may be true, it does not cause people to drive any differently.

When a person chooses to pay a traffic ticket rather than fighting it, they have admitted that they are guilty of the charge. This is an irreversible decision. Not only will they have to consult with a paralegal team and their insurance company, but this person chooses will have record of this admission. Even if the insurance company chooses to do business with this person, it will indeed be more expensive. The better choice is to always plead not guilty and fight the ticket. This will give individuals the opportunity to possibly not have to pay the fine.

Delaying the court appearance may also help a person to avoid being found guilty. Because everyone is busy, police do not have time to continue scheduling court appearances that are canceled. Instead, eventually, they may just not show up. This will cause most traffic cases to be dismissed.

Following the rules of the road is a great start to avoiding fines. People who take the time to fight traffic tickets may save themselves a great deal of stress and money.

Experienced Canadian professionals can offer superior legal support for your Peterborough traffic tickets at affordable prices. The dedicated Trenton paralegal team is committed to assisting you with any driving offences.

Working Your Way Around Buying A Cheap Car

March 5th, 2010 No comments

It is a fact that the convenience brought about by the internet is beneficial for many of us. You can actually shop for anything and pay for anything online these days – and that includes buying a car online.

To help you find the best deal for your hard-earned money and get the best car online, here are some ideas and suggestions.

- Find a reliable and credible dealer that sells cars online. You can also find private individuals offering their used cars for sale but you must be extra careful in dealing with individuals. Of course, you also have to be careful in getting into transactions with dealers and any other seller online. One tip is to go with reputable players in the industry. Keep in mind that when you part with your money online, you will find it hard to retrieve it.

- Find testimonials, reviews and referrals of the seller. This will give you an idea on their services they provide and will also give you an idea whether they are reliable sellers. Aside from that, you may also contact the seller and ask questions.

- Ask for more pictures and details. If you are interested in a car and want to see more of it, ask the seller for more pictures and details of the things you would want to know. However, it is important not to rely only on these pictures. Always make sure you have seen the vehicle onsite personally before making a purchase.

- Ask for an auto history report from the seller. This is true if you are buying a used car online. With this, you will know more about the car and the actual situation of its condition.

- If you intend to pay online, make sure you are in a secured site and that your financial information is secured as well. As you will never know who you are dealing with online, it is always advisable to be extra careful.

- Always check the car personally and test drive it. Be a meticulous buyer and make sure you have test driven the car before paying for it. You will never see the actual condition of the car if you are buying a car online, thus you have to pay a visit to the seller and check for yourself. Check on the odometers, the condition of the pedals and steering wheel. You will find hints on them when it comes to claims of mileage of the car. Also check for minute details such as mismatched colors and panels, which can be hints that the car has been damaged before. Be wary of sellers insisting they bring the car to you or you meet somewhere and those who have lots of excuses when tell them you want to see the vehicle.

To be more secured and safe in buying a car online, always ask for documentation of the vehicle especially if you are buying a used car. Of course, you don’t want to end up buying a stolen vehicle or a vehicle with no proper documentation. Check the insurance papers as well.

In buying a car online, or any other properties or items, it is important to be always certain and secured in your transactions. Fraudsters online are always lurking on sites involving buying and selling as well as in other financial transactions.

1968 Corvette Information

March 4th, 2010 No comments

The first model that set off a fifteen year run for the C3 “Shark” generation of the Corvette that stands today is the 1968 Corvette. The C3 generation that ran until 1982, would prove to be the most stubborn of all the Corvette generations. The selling record numbers in the late 1960′s, huge numbers in the 1970′s despite the gas crunch and holding until early in the 1980′s. This prolonged existence started with the 1968 Corvette which brought a new design that would inspire Corvettes that are driven today the C6 generation of 2005 to present.

In 1964, Larry Shinoda under the watchful direction of Bill Mitchell, designed the 1968 Corvette. By 1965 the Mako Shark II Concept Car was brought to the public eye by way of car shows and the 1968 Corvette would be an almost identical product by way of looks.

When the auto shows were done the Shinoda/Mitchell design was sent to Chevrolet styling under David Hollis. Using the existing Sting Ray chassis the design began to take place. The mid-engine design of the Mako Shark II was dropped. When the 1968 Corvette began to take shape there was an obvious overtone from the Mako Shark II design and the 1968 Corvette was the same car from the beltline down, just with softer contours.

Some of the new innovations to the 1968 Corvette included:

*Total redesign of the body. *Removable T-Top roof panels and back window on the coupe model. *Redesigned interior. *Optional three-speed Hydra-matic transmission to replace the previous two-speed Powerglide.

The engine stayed the same and was a carryover from the previous year, even though ,the 1968 Corvette had new features. There was no lack of power actually it was quite the contrary. Road & Track conducted several speed tests with the 1968 Corvette and found that the small-block 327 V-8 put out 350-bhp and had a reported top speed of 128 miles per hour. Even better was the big block put out a whopping 400 bhp and could do 0-60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds.

New to the 1968 Corvette was actually something that was lacking. For the first time in awhile there was no Sting Ray name attached to the Chevrolet muscle machine, though it was advertised using the Sting Ray name. Just one year later however the ‘Stingray’ nameplate would find its way back onto the Corvette.

As much as General Motors tried to keep the new design of the 1968 Corvette a secret, the unveiling of the new body style actually took place a few weeks before the car was officially unveiled. Just before the 1968 Corvette was to be revealed to the public, toy maker Mattel released its new line of Hot Wheels and much to the surprise of General Motors Executives there was an unauthorized version of a car called the ‘Custom Corvette.’

Corvette fans loved the new 1968 Corvette, however, the critics gave it a poor review. This did not bother consumers and at the end of the year Chevrolet’s new Corvette had the last laugh with a record sale of 28, 566 cars sold which was an increase from the 5,000 from the last year of the Sting Ray.

Looking At Policies From A Number Of Car Insurance Firms

March 4th, 2010 No comments

It is easy to get a list of auto insurance companies by browsing through the Internet, so you don’t have to waste time in visiting their offices anymore. Simply researching on the Internet will throw up a number of options as far as auto insurance companies are concerned.

To start with you should make a list of each of the different auto insurance companies available to you

It would be a good idea if one were thinking about renewing an auto insurance policy, or even thinking about taking out a fresh policy, to first list the different auto insurance companies before selecting one particular company.

Each auto insurance company will have its own insurance packages that will meet the different requirements of different car owners.

This is why it is necessary to carefully look into each and every detail of the policies you are presented with by each auto insurance provider so that you make sure you choose the best policy for your current situation.

Also you need to consider just what type of auto insurance you need, do you need a lot of coverage for your vehicle or just the minimum? And how much are you willing to pay for your coverage?

All too often people do not take the time to properly compare auto insurance from one company to the next, but unless you’re willing to either waste money on coverage you don’t need or indeed have less coverage than would ideally suit your situation, you really should take the time to do a little bit more research.

It may also be necessary to talk to the clients both present and past of the insurance company and thus learn about how the company will process the claims that are filed against it.

One thing you need to look into closely is whether or not the policy you are looking at will cover you for medical and other bills relating to an injured passenger, regardless of who eventually is blamed for the accident.

This is just one thing that you need to look out for, this is why it is crucial that you carefully read line by line any policy you’re considering as just one thing like this could leave you uncovered in an accident further down the road.

Remember that price alone should not be what you make your decision on, there’s no point in getting the cheapest deal possible if it leaves you with not enough coverage for your situation further down the road.

Old Is New With Used Cars

March 4th, 2010 No comments

Old is the new “new” when it comes to used cars. It’s not something you hear many people saying, but a used car is a thing of beauty. I love used cars. While my tastes tend to the slightly rusted and primer-grayed, I know most people would prefer something a tad more contemporary and well kept. That’s fine. In the used car world, everything is everything — and new is something to be avoided.

The problem with new cars isn’t the fact they’re so appealing, it’s the fact they tend to be completely overvalued. I know we’re not dealing with wholesale, but does a new car really cost $40,000? If so, why does last year’s model only cost $20,000? Did 365 days take $20,000 worth of value of the so-called used car? Rain exposure? Sun pollution?

I’m concerned about value — who isn’t? It bothers me when people pay too much — and for too long — on something that is worth half, and in some cases a third, of the sticker price. I know no one pays the sticker price, anymore, but if you’re paying more than $20,000 for a car, new or used, something is definitely rotten in Denmark.

I’ve found that people get themselves leveraged behind way too much debt when they finance their vehicles. By the time they’ve paid the vehicle off, it’s ten or fifteen years down the road and the accumulated interest had jacked the value of the no-longer-new vehicle to three or four times it’s initial new car value! That means some people paid $50,000 or $60,000 for the privilege of driving a new $40,000 car! Madness!

Spur of the moment is not going to cut it when it comes to used cars. You just can’t buy on a whim. You have to vet the dealership and the car itself. You have to kick the tires, check under the hood, and get a mechanic’s opinion. You have to do all the work a new car doesn’t require. But think of the work you’re doing now as a down payment on a huge amount of savings.

Looking for used car specials online is relatively simple. You just navigate to a search engine and away you go.

Secrets To A Smooth Car Rental Experience

March 4th, 2010 No comments

There are so many things to think about when you travel. First you lay out all the reservations and then travel days can be very long and tiring. By the time you finally reach your destination, you will most definitely be frazzled and probably near exhaustion, but don’t use that as an excuse for complacency.

When you arrive to pick up your vehicle at the rental agency, you must check three things before hitting the road. Doing so in advance can save you a lot of headaches later.

Read Your Rental Agreement- Whenever renting a vehicle you will be required to sign a legal agreement contract. This contract is binding, therefore you will want to look it over very careful before marking it with pen. This is something that many renters do not do since they are tired from traveling or anxious to get their vacation started. In order to avoid any misunderstanding in what you are signing one thing that you can do is ask for a copy of the agreement before you even leave on your travels. By reviewing the rental agreement in your own home, you are able to do so at your own pace and at a time that is convenient for you. You will want to carefully review every line of the contract, and go over the areas that require a signature or initials twice before signing.

Emergency Road Service- You want to have a complete understanding on what your road service assistance will be should a problem arise. Although many rental companies offer emergency roadside assist, the procedure for contacting the service may vary. Some companies will provide you with a phone number to call, others will expect you to take certain steps for getting the service covered. You will want to be fully knowledge on the procedure for the company you are renting from, otherwise it could cost you a large amount of money when you return your rental to the company.

Know The Vehicle You Are Driving- Preceding to driving away from the lot, be sure to give the vehicle a fine look-over. Check into the fluid levels, the bodily appearance of the rental and discover where everything is. Areas to give special attention to include where the switch over for the headlamps is placed, how to turn your wiper blades on and off, and the placements of the emergency brake and the hazard lights. In addition to all this, if the vehicle uses a GPS navigation system, then have the leasing broker exhibit you how to work it.

If you are shopping a car rental Surfers Paradise the best place to go to is www.budget.com.au. Whether it is a Surfers Paradise rental or a cheap car hire brisbane you will be sure to find just what you require.

Mosquito Bites And Diseases

December 16th, 2009 No comments

So, you’ve got some time off work, college or school and you want to get outdoors and enjoy it. Maybe even go on vacation. Great idea! However what happens when you get where you are going? The mosquitoes come out to get you.

If it were not so routine, it would sound like Freddy Kruger and Nightmare on Elm Street. The female mosquitoes need blood to produce eggs and they seek it out as voraciously as any vampire in a horror motion picture, while the males go sucking nectar from plants like fairies.

Well, that is the nightmare scenario, but it is not that far from the truth either. For many nations in the world it is also a genuine life and death problem. Millions of people die every year from malaria and tons more from dengue too. Yet both of these diseases are curable as are most of the other mosquito-borne diseases like Yellow Fever, Japanese Jungle Encephalopathy and Nile fever.

The first thing to understand is that usually these diseases can be inoculated against, particularly if you are going on vacation. The next thing to keep in mind – it might help – is that not all mosquitoes are the same. For example, in Thailand, the dengue-bearing mosquito (often called the ‘Egyptian’) comes out during the day time and so bites then too. Between about an hour before dawn and an hour after dusk, whereas the malaria-carrying mosquito, the Anopheles, is a night time huntress.

I am not suggesting that you can slacken your vigilance during the day, although many people take for granted that they can. Nobody wants dengue fever either.

So, what can you do? Before you go anywhere, read up on the district or check with medical experts. That part is not complicated, particularly, if you know how to explore the Internet. Then prepare yourself with inoculations if the risk is serious enough in your judgment or a medical expert’s judgment. In my estimation, that is the minimum that a conscientious person ought to be expected to do to protect him or herself, the family and the community at large.

Then there are a few other things you can do. For example, wear voluminous clothes, but long sleeves and long trousers. If you are thin on top by choice or not, wear a hat or cap. Dress in socks or stockings in the evening to protect your toes. Get a good-quality mosquito repellent and rub it on your exposed skin, as often as necessary by the manufacturer, which is usually every four or five hours.

You could rationally stop there, but I like to go a bit further, if the situation warrants it. If I am outdoors in the garden at home or in a hotel, I like to have one of those tennis racquet style electric bug zappers with me. They are great for zapping the odd mosquito that irritates you. They are good for clearing the bedroom before sleeping too and lastly, if I’m renting, hiking, camping or caravaning, I might find space for a rechargeable lantern-style bug zapper too.

If the little so-and-sos are going to give me a fever, they are going to have to try very hard to do it.

Owen Jones, the author of this article writes on several subjects, but is currently involved with work on mosquito bite allergy problems. If you would like to know more or check out some great offers, please go to our website at Mosquito Bite Swellings.

How To Solve Various Problems Of A Septic System ?

December 16th, 2009 No comments

A septic system is a large tank containing human biological waste and other regular household water waste. The natural bacteria inside the tank break the waste into three components – gases, water (mixed with some components that aren’t consumed by bacterial action) and solids. After some time the gases and water are eliminated from the tank whereas solids sink to the bottom of the tank and is required to be removed regularly from the tank.

A septic system handles a lot of things. They contain lots of water from your bathroom, kitchen, washing machine, soaps, detergents, plastics, non biodegradable products and sometimes even things like solvents, paint thinners or even gasoline. From this, we can figure out that most of the problems arise because of all these things as a septic tank is not designed to handle all these.

When a septic tank receives large amount of water than expected, the water level in tank goes unexpectedly higher causing improper treatment of solid waste. As the solid waste is not treated properly, it does not settle down and goes along with water to the pipes meant for distribution.

Non biodegradable products coming in the tank will never go away naturally as they can not be treated by anything. Large amount of such substances also cause a rise in the liquid level of the tank, forcing floating solids to go into the distribution tubes and it may cause a blocking in the tubes.

Phosphates present in detergents encourage algae growth that can block the hole in distribution pipes. Products such as paint thinners and solvents are toxic. If they are released into a septic system then they are distributed into the drain field along with water. After reaching the soil they will pollute it and make it unfit for plant growth.

Till now we have seen all the problems that are faced by a septic tank system. Now we will discuss how we can prevent that. Excess use of water is a problem which can be minimized by using water efficient things like dual flush toilets, low flow showers, low flow faucets and using less amount of water wherever possible.

If you will switch to liquid or gel soaps, you can help in removing phosphates from waste water as liquid soaps don’t contain phosphates. Don’t flush grease, fats, plastics and other waste things through the kitchen drain. Throw them in a dustbin.

The best way to keep your septic tank free from all the undesirable substances (tampons, diapers, paper towels, cigarette butts, solvents, paint thinners) is to throw them in a dustbin or any other place. Never put them in the drain. Last thing to keep in mind is that the septic plant should be cleaned and the solid waste should be removed from it within in a gap of 2-4 years. This will keep it efficient.

Colts Hammer Woeful Rams

December 16th, 2009 No comments

Peyton Manning was unable to tie a NFL record with his sixth straight 300 yard game , but the Indianapolis Colts remained undefeated by ripping the lowly St. Louis Rams 42-6 at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday. Manning amassed 235 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as the Colts made short work of the winless Rams. St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger continued to struggle, with–0 yards passing, two interceptions and no touchdowns.

NFL betting devotees who backed Indy as -14 road favorites easily won their bets as the Colts improved to 5-1 against the spread. After dropping their first game of the year to the number, Indy has run off five straight pointspread covers. The Chiefs dropped to 2-5 against the spread with the setback. The 48 points scored went OVER the posted total of 45.

After the game, Colts’ coach Jim Caldwell praised his quarterback:

“He functions pretty well within the system. He does a great job leading our team and being a field general. I don’t think he reached 300 yards, but nevertheless he was very effective.”

As has become his form, Manning deflected the praise onto his offensive line:

“I really appreciate the protection I’ve been getting. It’s something I don’t take for granted.”

Indianapolis tight end Dallas Clark gave kudos to the Indy fans that made the trip to St. Louis to support the team:

“We had a great following today. It was outstanding. When we were introduced it felt like a home game.”

Rams’ running back Steven Jackson sounded like a man out of answers:

“We have to learn to put four good quarters together. We don’t know how to win a game right now.”

The Colts will return home next Sunday to face a potentially tricky game against the San Francisco 49ers. Indianapolis has been installed as -11 point home favorites and the total set at 45. They’ll remain at home for the following two games, hosting the Houston Texans the following week and the New England Patriots on November 15th. St. Louis will take on another one of the NFL’s bottom feeders next Sunday, playing on the road against the Detroit Lions. The game is currently off the board while the Lions’ quarterback injuries get sorted out. The Rams will have a much needed bye week after that before returning to action on November 15th as they host the New Orleans Saints.
