Honda is the most reliable carmaker
In the summer of 2011, Honda was found to be the UK’s mot reliable carmaker for an incredible six years in a row.
In many ways, this achievement didn’t really receive the publicity it deserves for a completely independent survey. When you think about the intense competition out there, then to win this honour once or twice is an incredible achievement – but to win it six times is simply off the scale!
The survey was the latest “What Car? and Warranty Direct reliability study” and underpins Honda’s unrivalled reputation for building solid and dependable cars that you can rely on.
The reason Honda achieved the top spot yet again was due to its impressive nine per cent failure rate in the first 12 months. The company also topped the SUV league table with the HR-V and CR-V at numbers one and two respectively. Meanwhile, the Honda Jazz and Honda Accord both came a very respectable fifth in their respective categories, whilst the Honda Civic came in third in the small hatchback category.
So if you’re looking for reliability above all other considerations, then the choice has to be a Honda. Almost by definition, you won’t really need half as many Honda Spare Parts as other makes.
But when you do need parts then surely, the company’s unequalled engineering record suggests it’s best to buy genuine Honda Spares, particularly if you’re looking to keep your vehicle for a number of years. In this way, the reliability factor should continue for many years. The same doesn’t go for non-mechanical parts, but for anything you really need to rely on – the manufacturer’s products will surely be the most reliable.
Time will tell if Honda can make it a magnificent seven this year.
